Employee Family Assistance Program
The City of Richmond recognizes that balancing the demands of one’s personal, family, and work life can be challenging, and that professional counselling can help.

The Employee and Family Assistance Program is an addition to the traditional benefits package and provides confidential and professional counselling for problems such as: marital and family difficulties; drug abuse; stress; bereavement; and psychological disorders.

Eligibility:

  • Any regular full-time or part-time employee, including auxiliary, seasonal and retired employees (with special approval).
  • Employees on medical leave, laid off or terminated (during the first month after termination).
  • Children, spouses/partners (any gender) living together, and the employee.
  • Dependents 21 and younger living with the employee.
  • 21 to 25 year old children of an employee attending school (university) full-time.
